Call of Duty
September 13 - October 4
If you are a Christian, then you have a "call" on your life. Your primary call is to love God with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength per the words of Jesus in Mark 12:30. After understanding and accepting this primary call, the next step is putting your faith into action. Join us as we examine, as Believers, our "Call of Duty."
September 13: Enlist
In Acts 1:8 Jesus gives us a blueprint for missions work: we are to take His name from our local community to the outer reaches of our world. At Crossroads, we are following that plan! Take this opportunity to hear how you can get involved in spreading the gospel!

September 20: Basic Training
Saul had a serious interaction with God; not only did his life change, but so did his life's work and mission as he was called to be a disciple of Jesus. If we are serious about being disciples of Jesus, then we must take seriously His call on our life. One of the clear commands he gives us is in regards to missions: to tell others the good news of salvation and to take care of the poor. Our 2009 theme is evangelism - being intentional about sharing our faith - this message will focus on the task of feeding and clothing those in our community who are in need from a physical perspective.

Jesus was straightforward: we are to help the poor...period.
When we think of the "poor" in this world, generally we don't think of our neighbors. But right here in the Fox Valley there are people who desperately need our help. This message will not only give you a chance to hear why we should reach out to our community, but give you an example of one opportunity to do it!

October 4: Deployment
When we take missions seriously, a lot can be accomplished! It is amazing what one person or one family can do if they really want to make a difference. But what could happen if a community got serious about telling the good news of Jesus, and equally as serious about taking care of the poor? On October 17 we will have the opportunity to serve with our brothers/sisters from Jesucristo es la Verdad...but today, we will have the opportunity to worship with them!
