February 21 - March 28, 2010
There is a “you” that was designed by God, and it is not the current you. It is the you that is a fully-formed, spiritually mature Christian. When will you arrive at this point in your spiritual walk? Never! – at least not while you’re here on this earth. But you can begin the journey – right here and now. This message series – BURN – is all about you truly becoming a fully-devoted follower of Christ who is alive and burning for Him!
February 21 : Part 1: Ignite
Have you ever known someone who was perpetually immature? You know the type: someone who is 45 going on 15 – who just never seems to grow up! Unfortunately, there are many Christians who fall into this same category: perpetually immature in their faith. And this is not God’s plan! His plan for you is to grow – day by day, little by little – into the man/woman God created you be. This message is the first in our “BURN” series to help you take that initial step.
February 28: Part 2 : The Flame
We all want to grow in our faith in Christ. And there are so many ways that we can help in the process. But the reality is that there is one ingredient that, without, growth will never happen. That ingredient is not a “thing” rather it is a “person:” the Holy Spirit. And with God the Holy Spirit in our lives, real transformation is possible!

Spiritual transformation is holistic in that it happens not only in terms of our relationship with Christ, but also in/with our relationships with other Believers. It’s what being a part of the Community of Faith is all about! You were not designed to be alone – rather God’s plan is for you to grow together – in community!

March 14: Part 4 : Burnt Offering
Spiritual formation begins with a heart transformation; when the Holy Spirit takes up residence our hearts begin to change. But the change doesn’t stop there! Real transformation also includes the mind. When our minds begin to change, that affects the way we think, feel and choose. And when those actions begin to change, real life transformation is sure to follow.

One of the integral steps of our spiritual journey is that of baptism. Scripture says that it is beyond a mere act of the faith, but that it is actually a sacrament of our faith in that through baptism we actually draw closer to our Heavenly Father. This message will reveal the biblical take on the sacrament of baptism.
